In order to effectively support domestic violence–informed practice in a child protection system, supervisors and managers must have an understanding of domestic violence and its impact on families as well as on those they supervise. 

This live course reviews the foundational principles and components of the Safe & Together™ Model through the lens of the supervisory role. The course introduces a coaching framework for supervision in order to
  • best assess and support workers’ skill development,
  • address workers’ safety concerns that impact practice, and
  • provide domestic violence–informed case guidance and decision-making.

This course is one part of the larger Safe & Together™ Trainer Certification Program. It provides a skills-oriented foundation for training the Safe and Together™ Supervisors Training.

Knowledge, skills, and attitudes related to the Key Concepts for Domestic Violence–Informed Supervisory Practice

Competency 3

Knowledge, skills, and attitudes related to the Supervisors Training Manual and related training activities
